Disclosure Notice on Security Cameras Located at Our Workplace and Facilities

This disclosure notice has been prepared by MERİT PLASTİK KAUÇUK İNŞAAT SANAYİ VE TİCARET A.Ş. in its capacity as data controller, within the scope of Article 10 of Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data and the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles to Be Followed in Fulfilling the Disclosure Obligation.
Areas Recorded and Purpose
Image recording is carried out by means of a total of 41 security cameras located at our workplace building and facilities (the entrance doors, the exterior façade of the building, the canteen, visitor waiting rooms, floor corridors, production areas, warehouse areas and loading areas) for the purpose of ensuring workplace and facility security, and the recording process is supervised by the Information Technology unit.
Legal Grounds
The personal data in question is processed by automated means on the legal grounds set out in Article 5 of the Law, namely that “processing is mandatory for the data controller to fulfil its legal obligation” and that “processing is mandatory for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that it does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject”.
Transfer
The personal data in question may be transferred to judicial authorities or the relevant law enforcement agencies upon request, for the resolution of legal disputes or as required by the applicable legislation.
You may submit your requests under Article 11 of the Law, which governs the rights of the data subject, in writing to kvkk@meritplastik.com in accordance with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller.
